Land of vineyards located between 350 and 550 m above sea level and characterized by a dry, Mediterranean climate with scarce rainfall (between 350 and 450 mm \/ year). Its landscape maintains\u00a0all the typical traits\u00a0caracter\u00edstics of an inland region near the Mediterranean Sea: pre-coastal limestone mountain ranges (Ports d\u2019Horta, Serra de P\u00e0ndols and Serra de Cavalls), small rivers (the Algars and the Canaletes), mountains of conglomerate rock, forests of holm oak and white pine and, above all, fields of almond trees, vineyards and olive groves. Within this context fall three kinds of landscape of clearly differentiated agricultural interest: the plains, high plains and valleys. DO Terra Alta, Grenache territory<\/h1><\/div>

Humility, passion and effort in their work is what defines the farmers of the Terra Alta,<\/strong> Around 1,300 wine growers farm almost 6,000 hectares of vineyards with different varieties of grape, including Macabeu, Chardonnay and Syrah.<\/span><\/p>\n

Currently, the Terra Alta<\/strong> is home to 33% of the world\u2019s total Grenache production, 75% of this grape\u2019s production in Spain and 90% of its production in Catalonia. We produce our wines with natural products, operate using alternative energy and work towards improving our energy savings. All this has allowed us to form part of a Terres de l\u2019Ebre action plan that certifies us as an entity belonging to the biosphere reserve called Vinos Ebrebiosfera.<\/span><\/div><\/div>[\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=”50px”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/12″][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”6\/12″]
