A few days ago, we were lucky enough to be featured in an article by ARA newspaper, written by author and journalist Empar Moliner. But more than just a review, it was a beautifully sensitive portrait of who we are, what we do, and especially, of one of our latest vintages: Vila-Closa White 2024.
More than a tasting, the text offers a sincere look at the spirit behind our work: a deep respect for white garnacha, a commitment to our land, and a way of understanding wine rooted in simplicity and emotion.
And no wonder: a single-varietal white garnacha, fermented in stainless steel and aged on its lees for three months, expressing the soul of Terra Alta with elegance.
“White flowers, tender almond, more floral than fruity. Fresh, easy to drink, with creaminess and tension…,” writes Moliner.
And we nod, knowing that behind every sip are vineyards cared for like children, and decisions made with wisdom and respect.
The author not only highlights the wine, but also the philosophy of Ivette, our winemaker:
“If the product that comes from the vineyard is so good, my job is not to ruin it.”
This is a love story — for the land, for garnacha, and for a way of making wine that allows the product to fly free, unmasked.
As the article wisely notes, sometimes the best pairing isn’t with a dish of rice, but with the people we share the wine with. That’s how we see it too: wine is company, memory, conversation.
Thank you, Empar, for capturing it all with such sensitivity.
And to those who haven’t yet tried Vila-Closa 2024… we invite you to discover it.
