The winery
Introduction
The winery La Botera was founded in 1986 with the purpose
of processing and marketing the fruit produced by its members,
all farmers with first-hand experience in the world of vines and wine.
In the beginning, La Botera only sold bulk wine and jug wine,

In the beginning, La Botera only sold bulk wine and jug wine,
whereas today it offers young white, rosé and red wines and vintages of high quality, all with the characteristics and distinction that the Terra Alta label represents.
Currently, we cultivate around 180 hectares of different varieties
and produce close to 800,000 litres of wine, 350,000 of which are bottled here at the winery.
Our facilities
The winery has two headquarters: the oldest, located in the town centre,
is where La Botera was founded, and the new winery, which was inaugurated in 2018 and occupies a four-storey building by the highway, right next to the main entrance to the town of Batea. The winery has a total area of around 3,500 m² distributed between reception and winemaking areas, the production room –with large tanks–, the barrel room –where the wine is aged–, the packing area, the warehouse, the laboratory, the shop and the tasting room.
